Illustrated with 21 black and white captioned photos, several black and white maps, and several charts. Bibliography. Green wrappers printed in black on the front cover and with a black and white photo th of a large tree on the front cover. No noticeable wear to extremities, wrappers clean and bright, corners square and flat, all photos in fine condition, else fine with no internal markings. Born to a farm near him to Iowa, Imelda Merlin [1913-1983] received her Master's Degree with Thesis from UC Berkeley in 1964, which thesis eventually was published as the book offered here. She was an active member in her community, participating in chorus groups, volunteering for the Alameda Food Bank, and other charitable functions.
