Van Vleck by Charles Wiener, 1973, Niels Bohr Library & Archives, AIP. Abstract: Systematic methods are developed for determining best approximations to the theoretically ideal, optimum detector for signals in noise. The methods provide, for the first time, a basis for design approximations, and a means for comparing and evaluating actual systems with their ideal counterparts. Emphasis is on providing explicit detector structures and showing how, and to what degree, such structures yield optimum or nearoptimum results. Applications to radar, sonar, seismology, or any other signal detection in noise, are immediate. (Author).

Prices are net. Any local taxes are collected are required. Shipping extra. We ship SWISS POST all over the world. Returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee (if received in original condition). Returns are only allowed within 30 days and only under certain conditions:

The seller is not required to accept a return for this reason and may choose to cancel the return request. The return is considered to be accepted unless cancelled by the seller within two business days. Items lost are refunded (30 days is the limit, though delays in shipments can be longer). Damaged items: Full or partial refunds are granted depending on the status of the item received.
