About this Item
39x31 cm. Manuscript listings, previously folded, and income expenses for the Brig Betsey on a trip to the Cape of Good Hope in 1796. The accounting is dated March 8, 1796 and signed by Captain Timothy Baker. The header notes the ship's port as Cape Francis, though the docket title on the verso names Capetown. The cargo appears to have been primarily boards and shingles. It appears from sketchy records that the Brig Betsey sailed from Newburyport, though this is not specified on the account and could be erroneous. Seller Inventory # e00106
