Limited edition of 2000 copies, this is number 1148. Signed by illustrator Raymond Houlihan on the limitation page. Gray illustrated paper boards quarter bound with leather. Dark brown leather label with gilt lettering on spine. Slight rubbing to edges; spine is faded; minor scratching to leather. Tight binding and clean interior. Housed in a gray paper covered slipcase with a beige illustrated label. Slipcase has moderate toning and slight bumping to corners. Includes eight color plates and black-and-white illustrations with the text. This travelogue recounts Charles Dickens's six-month trip to North America in 1842 and shares his scathing critiques of American society. Seller Inventory # 0022186
