Edition de Grand Luxe, limited to 26 lettered copies, this is Copy Letter D, and is expressly manufactured for Charles B. van Nostrand, signed by James Buel, author of the first volume (Columbus) and co-author of four of the other volumes. Padded leather covers very good, some scuffs and small nicks, gilt lettering, decorations, and turn-ins good. All interiors clean and tight, all edges solidly gilt and bright. Scarce set. Large set, 6.5" x 9" x 11" shelf length, additional postage may be required for international orders or priority shipping.
