Originally published in 2005, this is a 1st printing of the 2006 trade paper edition. It is flat signed (no inscription) and dated by author Robert Klein on its title page. The book is in near fine condition, marred only by some very light corner wear, plus some age toning inside the front and back covers. Binding is tight and square, with no reading crease in the spine. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn. Other than the author's signature, pages are also unmarked and otherwise unworn. As with all Space Age Book purchases, I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its proud new owner in the same condition as my description.

- Biography & Memoir, Humor, Signed Books
Best known for his unique brand of observational humor—seen on Broadway and in film and television—Klein details his life from ages nine to twenty-five as seen “through the gauze of time.” Klein’s theme park of memories alternates dark moments with sunlit humor. Teenage frustrations prompted a visit to a Harlem prostitute, which filled Klein with “shame and triumph and guilt.” He encountered individual and institutional anti-Semitism at Alfred University, yet led the frat house fun, moving on to the Yale School of Drama, Chicago’s Second City, New York theater and a variety of romances. Along the way, Klein had successes and failures, both in bed and on stage. Probing not only his own psyche but also the evolution of sexual mores during the 1950s and ‘60s, he unfurls an array of captivating anecdotes, writing with wry wit and honesty.

Shipping terms
- Items will be carefully packaged to assure they arrive as described.
- All shipments will be via US Postal Service unless requested otherwise. Standard shipping within the USA will be via USPS Media Mail. Priority shipping within the USA will be via USPS First Class Mail.
- My current Standard shipping rate within the USA is US$4.00 for the first book, and US$2.00 for additional books in the same order.
- There are two situations where I will refund to the buyer a portion of the postage charged by ABEBOOKS: (1) Separate orders placed on the same date for shipment to the same address will be shipped together, so I will refund half of the postage paid for the first book in each such second and subsequent order. And (2) Books described as "paperbacks" in my descriptions weigh less than other books, so I will refund US$1.00 of the paid shipping fee for the 2nd and subsequent paperbacks in the same order shipping to the same address.
- Please contact me via ABE if you have any questions or special requests about packing and shipment, such as insurance or shipment by carriers other than US Postal Service. I will be happy to work with you if my standard policies need adjustment or exceptions.
