SIGNED, dated and inscribed to the title page by both Houston and MacLaren. Like new, appears unread, unclipped and not remaindered. Interior is clean and unmarked. Black cloth boards are very gently bumped to the corners. Bright gilt titles to spine. Dustjacket is gently bumped to extremities, small handful of tiny tears to the top edge with minor shelfwear to show. Now protected in archival brodart jacket. The first publication of Back’s journal and paintings that offered new insights into what went wrong with Franklin’s first expedition. Includes bibliographical references and index. Commentary provided by I.S. MacLaren. This book may require additional postage to your address.
