White vellum covers with gilt stamped lettering and rules on front cover, TE gilt, other edges scalloped and uncut. The original spine has been neatly replaced with a white cloth spine with gilt climbing vine design, and with the title in gilt on a matching white cloth label. The covers are a wee bit soiled as is the spine, but the book is otherwise tight and clean and bright. With a color frontispiece plus 7 other color illustrations by Rackham, plus 60 B&W illustrations by Rackham, plus white endpapers with line illustrations and decoration in gold by Rackham. The 7 color text illustrations all have a blank facing page on which the title of the illustration is printed, and the book contains a 2 page 'illustrators preface' written by Rackham. This is a scarcer Rackham title in the trade edition (perhaps because it was issued during the Depression), and even scarcer in the limited edition.
