Octavo, stiff colour illustrated wraps, some b&w illustrations, pp 80, vi, remains of price sticker to the front cover. Generally very clean. Very good condition. "Aurealis" is Australia's longest running small-press science-fiction and fantasy magazine. It was launched in September 1990 to provide a market for speculative fiction writers, with a particular emphasis on raising the profile of Australian authors. The issue includes nine short stories, and five full-page b&w illustrations by the now acclaimed Western Australian author Shaun Tan, all signed "Tan, '91". Tan would have been 19 at the time, and these drawings would have been some of his first published work.
