One page, dated May 28, 1948, 10.25 x 7, on Ten Chimneys letterhead, folds, some edge wear and discoloration but still nice. Lunt thanks recipient "Joe" (Joseph Heidt, Theatre Guild press agent) for wishes and "very generous offer" but says he'll be going into the hospital for a checkup and "God knows when I'll be working again." SIGNED "ALFRED." Lunt and his wife Lynn Fontanne, were legendary theatre stars.
