Autograph Sentiment Signed

("Frank T. McCowan") boldly penned in blue fountain pen ink on vintage green album leaf. 6" x 2 1/8"; fine, fresh (minor signs of handling); 1944. Signed and inscribed: "Hi Senor Millard El Billante* Frank T. McCowan" *El Brillante was the name of the character Calhoun played in the 1945 film "The Bullfighters". From the collection of Millard, second cousin of George Calliga. In 1944, when Millard was twelve years of age, his mother's cousin, George Calliga, a "bit" player in Hollywood, sent Millard a leather-bound autograph book filled with 43 signatures of movie stars he had worked with or encountered on the movie sets. These autographs are from that book.
