In her note, to an unnamed correspondent, she writes: "I send this, which I copied before the hymn became a common one in reply to your application for an autograph. It is not mine. I wish it were, for it has led many to the Savior." 2 pages on 2 slightly different size sheets, the note signed H.B. Stowe at the bottom of the second sheet. 12mo.
