FOURTH IMPRESSION (countdown digits 5---4, first published 1982), SIGNED WITH A DRAWING. 210 x 215 mm, 8¼ x 8½ inches, white colour illustrated shiny boards, orange endpapers. Brilliant coloured illustration throughout about the familiar little white bear who can do anything with his pencil, such as draw himself a ladder when he needs one. Minute mark to lower corner on upper cover, otherwise a clean crisp Fine copy (no dustwrapper issued). Signed by the artist on title page in 1991 with a drawing of little bear with his pencil, 50 mm (2") high. Browne was awarded the 2000 Hans Christian Andersen Award for illustration.
