Er�ffnete 1824 in Karlsruhe mit Carl Ludwig Frommel das erste Atelier f�r Stahlstich in Deutschland. 1832 wieder in London t�tig. Gr�ndete sp�ter ein eigens Atelier Winkles & Lehmann in Leipzig.G.
