Moderate wear and the interior of the wraps toned, small stain on the lower wrap that also shows as a small tidemark on the foredge stain for about half the text (not affecting the interior), a well-loved, very good copy. Inscribed on the first page to novelist, journalist and screenwriter (and one of the blacklisted "Hollywood Ten") Alvah Bessie: "For Alvah Bessie (and french wife) / Best, Barbara Solomon." "Two young lovers hide away to experiment with passion. .".
