Near fine condition color photographic softcover wraps. Includes Acknowledgments; Introduction and Prologue. Illustrated with black-and-white photographs. Signed and inscribed by the author, Bobby Collins, with thick black Sharpie/marker on the inner front cover. "Bobby is a star performer. 'On the Inside' is something everyone can benefit from." - Chris Rock. "Bobby Collins: On the Inside, is a charming collection of sagacious sentences, which turn into palpable paragraphs that make up page after page of a great read! If you, like me, have always appreciated Bobby's comedic talents, you owe it to yourself to explore not only how, but also why, he manages to make it look so effortless. Comedy is a tough business. It's tough to make a room, a club, or a theater full of strangers laugh once, but to deliver the type of gold Bobby does, night after night, year after year? That requires the genius of a true master! As Bobby says in this book, comics are like the circus: we pull into town, put on a show and move on to the next gig. Bobby has chosen to reveal what every great performer knows .there is always more going on than meets the eye! Some of what Bobby Collins: On the Inside shares may surprise you. While other parts of this book serve to reinforce what we all are very aware of, Bobby is a very funny man! In addition, you will get to know a man who has learned not just from the lows and highs of the world of comedy, but from life - and has dedicated his life, to doing his best, to lighten the load for the rest of us. Bobby, you make me proud to be Carnie folk. After reading Bobby Collins: On the Inside, I now truly believe and understand that "leap and the net will appear" is so much more than just a great t-shirt slogan! Thank you, my friend. Rick Overton, comedian, writer, actor." - from the rear outer cover. …

Store description
Vero Beach Books is an antiquarian bookseller with a constantly updated inventory of rare out-of-print books, signed books, children's books, plus a large inventory of ephemeral items such as major U.S. city newspapers going back 100 years and more, golden and silver age fine condition comic books (soon to be added), and many other ephemeral items as well as much more recent popular volumes. We have been in business for 25 years, originally known as Emerson Books (named after one of our owner's favorite authors, to wit, Ralph Waldo Emerson) located back then in Westport, Connecticut. That said, we are here to serve you, to offer you fine quality items that are conservatively described so that you will always be pleasantly surprised and delighted with your purchase. Twenty-five years in the bookselling business has borne out our stellar service oriented reputation; the only difference is that now we are located in the almost always sunny and warm climate of Vero Beach, Florida. Again, we are here to serve you and, as was the case when we were previously known on ABEBooks.com as Emerson Books, we will continue to offer our very popular 100% free search service for those hard to find books rare and out of print books. Oftentimes we are also able to obtain these rare finds at very good discounts to our customers' so it is always worth contacting us in such cases!
