Bordeaux enthusiasts call the 1980s the decade of the century because of the abundance of great vintages. This completely revised edition of Parker's Bordeaux ( LJ 1/86) includes Parker's personal tasting notes for hundreds of additional wines and revised notes for many of the wines described in the first edition. Because wine, especially Bordeaux, changes as it matures, the new notes are a welcome aid to connoisseurs. Capsule summaries of vintages from 1945 to 1990 are provided but most of the book is filled with tasting notes and rankings of each producer's best vintages. Information on buying wine futures and visiting Bordeaux is also included. This is an important book for serious wine collections.
