About this Item

Original hand coloured copperplate etchings. Both images are sized 16cm x 18.7cm. Both housed in frames that are sized 31cm x 32.2cm. Etchings hand painted in water colour by the artist. Made on heavy cream paper. Cream acid free window mat borders illustrations. Three delicate hand drawn coloured lines border both etchings. Both in simple wooden frame. Back blocked in heavy tan paper with Arts on Atlantic Gallery label. The backing on both have some minor tearing. In overall fine condition. A lovely piece that showcases Charles' early love of birds and Canada. The first illustration shows a Canada goose settled in a wilderness of tall grass. The second shows a loon in a similar thicket of reeds. These etchings are both signed and marked as an artist proof by the artist along the bottom edges.
