Steve Rhode and Mike Kidwell bring you the CheapMeals.com Cookbook. It's the result of years of helping people at Myvesta solve financial problems. For most American families food takes one of the biggest chunks out of the family budget. Plus there’s the time you have to spend figuring out what’s for dinner, breakfast or lunch, grocery shopping and preparing the meal.
But what’s the alternative? Skipping meals is out - it’s just not healthy and everyone’s too hungry! So maybe you pick up the phone and call the local pizza delivery place, or head out to a restaurant. Both of those options can be pretty pricey if you use them frequently.
There’s a Better Way!
The CheapMeals.com Cookbook is the collection of some of the best cheap recipes out there. This book is the culmination of the best - fast, inexpensive meals that will help you feed the family for less, and spend less time in the kitchen
Order your printed copy of the CheapMeals.com Cookbook below and start trimming the food budget without sacrificing good meals.
The cookbook is divided into six sections.
Section One: Introduction
Here you will find the winning recipes from our national CheapMeals.com contest.
Section Two: Appetizers
While the section contains a lot of recipes, here’s a couple I love.
Orange Salad (Almost Like Dessert)
1 Container (12 oz) whipped topping
1 small carton of cottage cheese (small curd)
1 can mandarin oranges (drained)
1 box [3 ox] gelatin, orange flavor
Mix whipped topping and cottage cheese, add drained mandarin oranges and gelatin (dry). Stir together and refrigerate for about one hour. Serve.
It’s easy, fast, inexpensive, yummy and even a family favorite.
Tex-Mex Dip
1 can chili
1 can tamales, chopped
1 lb Velveeta Cheese, cubed
1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Combine all ingredients. Simmer slowly. Stir mixture until cheese melts. Serve with taco or corn chips.
We had this at an office party recently. It was fabulous. The serving dish was left empty and everyone wanted the recipe. The person who brought it was grinning from ear to ear from all of the compliments.
Section Three: Soups & Salads
Section Four: Entrees
Section Five: Desserts
Section Six: A La Carte: Kitchen Tips & Tricks In this section you will find some amazing quick tips to help you in the kitchen. For example:
Pale gravy may be browned by adding a bit of instant coffee straight from the jar…no bitter taste, either.
A slice of soft bread placed in the package of hardened brown sugar will soften it up again in a couple of hours.
You Will Regret Not Having a Copy of This Cookbook. The cookbook is everything we’ve promised it would be, good food, money saving recipes and quick meals to feed a rushed and hungry family. It’s even spiral bound so it will lie flat on the counter and make it easy to use for a long time to come.

As vice president and co-founder of Myvesta, Mike Kidwell has seen every imaginable financial crisis and has helped thousands of people regain their financial footing.
Before he and Steve Rhode joined forces in 1994 to start Myvesta, Kidwell worked closely with consumers who were in the midst of losing their homes due to foreclosure. He discovered that there were few, if any, alternatives for people who needed complete detailed financial help. This is the driving force behind Myvesta, a financial crisis and treatment center, based in Rockville, Md.
Myvesta uses certified financial planners, certified public accountants, psychologists, intervention counselors, legal professionals, financial mediators, insurance specialists and banking experts to find and solve the underlying reasons for people’s money problems. That process allows people to meet their financial goals and never repeat their money mistakes.
Kidwell is integral to the company’s friendly and hands-on image. His compassionate, detail oriented approach shows his unusual knack for translating financial jargon into meaningful terms for people in financial difficulty.
