Agnes L. Barnes became interested in photography when she was in high school. After the death of her daughter in 1980, she used the medium of photo slides of Beth Ann's life in conducting seminars and presentations for church, educational and medical groups to portray ways to assist families with chronically or terminally ill children. She and her husband, Chet, were involved in starting a support group for bereaved parents shortly after Beth Ann's death, and they facilitated the group for ten years. Agnes is an award winning photographer who has traveled extensively in the United States, as well as to many other countries.
