This vintage book contains John Wilson's 1901 work, "Christopher in his Sporting Jacket". Originally published in "Blackwood" in 1828, it is a delightful chronicle of sporting life and exquisite idyll of natural boyhood. This volume will appeal to those with a love of the outdoors and rural pursuits, and it would make for a charming addition to any collection. Contents include: "Crash Goes the Top-Timber of the Five-Barred Gate", "She is a Salmon, Therefore to be woo'd-She is a Salmon, therefore to be Won", "Up Runs the Tyro Ready-Cocked", "Well, then, After Cat-killing comes Coursing", "Hark Forward, Tantivy", "Well Done, Fro!", "What a Twinkling of Fists and Shillelas!", and "A Red-Deer-A Stag of Ten".…
