Synopsis
Eli's first day of kindergarten marked thebeginning of a new life for Ava. She couldn't wait to tellShelby the good news. "So, my dear Ava, what did youfigure out?" Shelby asked with a smile. "My destiny is toend all war," Ava said. Shelby looked confused. For amoment, Ava wished he could read her mind so she wouldn'thave to explain everything-but her daydreams about that sortof thing were done now. "I can't wait to hear how you cameto that conclusion," Shelby said. "Come. Let's sit togetherlike we used to before we were married-and you can tell meyour dreams. I've been waiting a long time for that gal tocome back to me. Where have you been?" Ava sat down anddraped her legs over his. She looked into his eyes. "I'mhere now," she said. "And it's love, baby. That's how Ifigured it out-it's all about love." "Love, ah?" Shelby'sdeep, romantic voice was inviting. "Tell me more." "Haveyou ever heard of the code, 41 and 81, 67 and 65, 10 and 94, 6?" "No," Shelby thought about the numbers for a moment."You know how I lovemath. Let's start from the beginning. Iwant to hear everything!" He kissed her cheek out ofexcitement and then, snuggled into her preparing to hearAva's entire story. The Code of Deliverance, the final bookin the Code trilogy, brings Ava to a point she'd neverimagined she'd reach, even in her wildest daydreams: atpeace with the past, accepting of her life, and happy withher ultimate destiny.
