Porter signs a promissory note promising to pay "Wabash Valley Trust Company" $4,000 in six months with interest at the rate of 41/2 percent. Boldly signed "Cole Porter." The printed and manuscript document measures 8 x 3 inches, Peru, Indiana, March 18, 1944. The document is framed with sheet music for Porter's song, "Easy to Love" as performed in the 1946 Warner Brothers film, "Night and Day, " based on Porter's life. The sheet music shows a cameo portrait of Porter. Framed and double matted with gray mat and blue bevel in brown wood molded frame measuring 16 1/2 x 24 1/2 inches. A beautiful ensemble.
