Synopsis
Grace Carrington is head-strong, independent, adventurous, kind, fun, clumsy, & beautiful inside & out. She enjoys being at home with her family & working on their ranch. She longs to travel & see the world, but enjoys the security of being at home & knowing what to expect. She has always been in control of her emotions & her actions. Yet upon meeting Jake McKenzie, she finds herself acting on impulse & fighting to regain control of the battle between her head & her heart. She always had a close relationship with God, yet she finds herself drawn to this man who she feels may threaten the very relationship that has come to define her. Jake is at a stage in his life when he has to make some decisions. Accepting an invitation to visit the Carrington ranch, he decided to escape his dad, & figure out what he wants to do with his life. He is pleasingly surprised at the distraction he finds when he gets there. Grace is tired of everyone trying to get her to settle down. Determined to run this man off, she opens the door & finds herself speechless. Good at push each other's buttons; they constantly challenge each other. Several irritating, interesting, & impulsive situations arise testing their resolve. Family & friends support & encourage each other, contributing to the decisions made. They play key roles in the development of each individual & their relationship. Everyone is surprised where they end up, but the best part was getting there!
About the Author
I have an associate's, bachelor's degree, and I'm a certified career advisor. I enjoy psychology, behavioral sciences, and business. I've worked with youth for about twenty years. I try to encouraged them to stay focused on God while making life decisions. I also have experience as a youth leader, mission's director, Sunday school teacher, and I worked in children's and music ministry. My passion and gift is encouraging others to strive to reach their full potential; never giving up and always growing. I live with my husband, two amazing children, and three dogs. In between being a wife, mother, working, and running here and there, I love to stop and put my thoughts down on paper. I love to read just as much as I love to write. Along with studying God's Word, these activities help me to unwind and put things in perspective. Working with students, along with my role in Christian ministries, has helped me to see my gift is using words and love to minister and encourage those around me. I hope to share this gift through writing and doing whatever God leads me to do.
