About the Author
Rochelle Lynn Holt, born and raised in Chicago, has been an author/editor/lecturer/educator/counselor/book reviewer for forty, thirty and twenty–five years, respectively, more or less. She was a stone sculptor and painter in the 80s and early 90s. She also was a dancer in the 70s. Her books in all genres have been published annually since 1970. Most recent include: Pointing to the Moon, a bio-novel of 600 p. which incorporates the letters of her late best friend, Virginia Love Long of Bushy Fork, North Carolina; Anais Nin: An Understanding of her Art, second edition critical study of her friend/mentor; Whistling in the Dark & Weight of Happiness, two humorous novellas in one novel-of-the-future. Death of an Angel is dedicated to Olga G. Holt, the author's mother and co-collaborator: With Promises to Keep, family saga; and Three Southwest Mysteries. Olga who passed at age 83 in Phoenix, Arizona also illustrated half a dozen or more covers of her daughter's books. Magdalena Maczuga, a former student of Holt's in Elizabeth, New Jersey has been designing/illustrating for the author since the 90s. Born in Poland, she now resides in Princeton. Magdalena is now a respected artist with her own website www.magdalenafurniss.com. Rochelle's www.angelfire.com/blues2/rlynnholt is designed by her friend and neighbor of almost two decades, Ed Stofka. The writer has divided her time between Fort Myers, Florida and Bolingbrook, Illinois for the past five years.
