October 1985 issue of The Atlantic Monthly magazine which contains the short story 'Death of the Nation' by Ernst Havemann. It is the first published story for Mr. Havemann and was later included in his book of short stories 'Bloodsong'. The story is SIGNED and inscribed by Havemann at the title. Issue also contains work by Richard bausch; Peter Davison; James Galvin etc. Also includes laid-in a handwritten SIGNED letter (ALS), dated 1985, from Ernst Havemann saying he'd be delighted to sign story.
