The narrator of this book, although blind, deaf, and paralyzed, interacts with a strange set of fictional characters who move about the fictional city of Nashville, Tennessee. A car salesman loves the smell of napalm in the morning. A sergeant pushes everyone out of his flying machine. A doctor finds two people living in the same body. A teacher forces a student to undergo an eyeball transplantation. A theologian claims that Jesus loves lesbians best of all. A cheerleader has a melon where her head should be. A pedophile exorcizes a demon. A minister fights evil by stabbing sinners to death. One man fathers a thousand children but his family does not show up for Sunday dinner. Real people mix with the fictional characters. Bob Hope holds the narrator's hand. James Earle Ray spends the night with a minister. Dinah Shore blows kisses and Jack Palance guns down a farmer. Kronos and his brothers move to Nashville to play football. Lamar Alexander digs up a coffin, pries open the lid, and shouts, "It's alive." Romance softens the gore. One character rejects Prince Charming while her brother falls deeply in love with a woman who does not exist. Two lovebirds pitch woo by drilling holes in each other's skulls. A grand denouement weaves all these storylines together in a beautiful tapestry, but the reader must avoid the splatter of bright red blood.
This is the best book written in English since Dante's Towering Inferno.

All books subject to prior sale. You may email us about availability. Please
include author, title, book number and list price. You will never be
disappointed with our books, but if you are foolishly disappointed, any book is
returnable in same condition as when we reluctantly parted with it, within 7
days for any reason or no reason.
PAYMENT: We accept Paypal,checks, money orders, Visa/MC. Make checks payable to
"BookmanBookWoman". For Visa/MC provide name of the card holder exactly as it appears on
your card, your card number, expiration date, and your billing address if
different from the shipping address. All Tennessee residents must add sales tax
of 9.25%.
SHIPPING: $4.95 for first book, $3.75 for each additional book shipped in a single
multiple book order. We ship by US Postal Service, 4th class book rate (even if
they call it media mail). Shipping to outside USA will cost extra shipping.
Please inquire first. If insurance or
expedited shipping is required, shipping costs will be higher.
DISCOUNTS: Generally, net to all. However, if we have a reciprocal discount
agreement with you, we will honor the reciprocity.

published since 1900). We grade the condition of our online books from the very
best possible to the worst/sad in the following order: FINE (as new, appears

carefully read once, no apparent defects), VERY GOOD(only minor defects as
noted), GOOD (several defects or problems as noted), FAIR (a reading copy, not a
collectible book),POOR (a book in very sad shape).
