Synopsis
Marshall Hamilton Stewart III (a.k.a. Mars) is a bank manager living a charmed life in the beautiful beach town of Lewes when a few reckless moments of passion suck him into a powerful rip tide of problems. Framed for embezzlement by a woman from his past, Mars struggles to get back to shore and to the family he hopes will still be waiting for him. On a Dime is suspense, mystery, romance, crime and golf all rolled into one. It's an entertaining novel for a weekend at the beach or even a slow day at the office. No matter where you devour it, it will add some sizzle to your summer or some warmth to your winter. Some will hate Mars, but most will [almost] forgive him. Guard your logons and your love, or you too may find that your life is about to turn ON A DIME.
About the Author
Ann REVERE REED knows lots about banking, information technology (IT), family, golf, and Lewes, Delaware. In her first novel, she weaves all of these topics into a compelling read. Her goal was to write a page-turner, and her first reviewers think that she has done just that. A native of Rehoboth Beach, Revere currently lives in Lewes, Delaware. One of five siblings, she grew up with salt air in her lungs, the sound of the ocean in her ears, and sand, well, everywhere:-) After existing inland while attending college and for the first few years of her IT career, Revere eagerly returned to her beach roots. After working in Banking/ IT for over twenty years, a merger nudged Revere into an early retirement and towards more right-brain activities. Never one to shy away from a challenge, she set a goal to write a novel. Revere began penning On a Dime - Senseless in Lewes shortly after retiring and quickly realized that she needed help. She found it in both the Rehoboth Art League Writers' Group which she attended on a weekly basis for a couple of years and in the Rehoboth Beach Writers' Guild. She attributes much of her success in meeting her goal to the support that she received in these organizations. A graduate of Cape Henlopen High School (1973) in Lewes, Ann Revere Reed went on to receive a B.S. in Mathematics and her Master of Business Administration. She worked three years for Ross Perot's company, Electronic Data Systems, in PA And Wilmington, DE, before returning to the beach area. She gained employment in Millsboro, DE with the IT division of Omni Bank - a subsidiary of First Maryland Bancorp - which later became Allfirst Bank and finally part of M&T.
