Frederic Arnold completed fifty combat missions as a P-38 fighter pilot in North Africa during World War II. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medial with nine Oak Leaf Clusters. On his return from combat, he test-flew America's first jet, designed and developed power steering for aircraft, and was promoted to the rank of Major at the age of twenty-three. He is an inventor of labor-saving devices and the founder of the Frederic Arnold Company, the Arnold Blau Corporation, and Photo Enginering Corporation International. He is also a painter, sculptor, and an actor who has appeared in theater, film, and television.
