Alfalfa and Butch's competition for the affection of Darla was the snotty rich kid Waldo, played in the "Our Gang" series by this American child actor from 1937 to 1940; later a Seventh-Day Adventist pastor, he was killed in a hit-and-run accident. Nice double signature, "Darwood 'Waldo' Kaye / D. Kenneth Smith -- Our Gang / Little Rascals" in blue ballpoint in Kaye's tiny script, heavy stock 5" X 3" card, n.p., 1988 September 20. Fine.
