I had never read anything by Ron Savage before and I now know that I have been missing out. The reader should be warned going into this story that it will mess with your mind.  
This book is kind of a wild mess of a story but it works. Savage creates a vicious and surreal world in "The dreaming field" that is neither easy to define nor figure out. Honestly, I know that there is a lot more to this story than what I picked up on the first reading and I know that I will return to it again to catch what I have missed.
