First Thus (originally published 1952-54). Octavo (23cm.) 3 volumes, each one of 26 lettered, signed copies of a total edition of 126. Bound uniformly in maroon cloth, titled in gilt on covers and spines; slipcases; publisher's clear acetate dustjackets. All three volumes Fine in the original clear acetate jackets and slipcases. Attractive set of these signed, limited reprints of works originally issued under Vida'ls pseudonym, Edgar Box, in the early- to mid-1950s, featuring detective Edgar Cutler Sargeant. Includes. Death in the Fifth Position (1991) - Letter "D", signed Gore Vidal Death Before Bedtime (1990) - Letter "I", signed Gore Vidal Death Likes It Hot (1990) - Letter "C", signed Edgar Box and Gore Vidal.
