184p 12mo, illustrated. A very good copy in blue cloth. Frontispiece has an original clipped signature of Tripler applied. Inscribed by her daughter in 1910. It was her son in law Louis A Arthur who published this book and who saw the value in recording his mother in law's story, here printed. Gives personal accounts of early militry battles during the American Revolution, Friendship between the family and General Lafayette and Count Rochambeau, Andrew Jackson, the War of 1812 and hatred for the British at the time, and her life as the wife of an Army Surgeon in the Civil War.
