1983 Fantastic Films vintage magazine single page signed and dated by Stephen King. Beautifully flat signed and underscored contemporaneous inscription: "Best wishes, Stephen King, 6/24/84." Signed leaf features pages 61 and 62 of an interview and article on Stephen King and George Romero's collaborative effort on the classic film "Creepshow". Signed side (p. 62) features three b&w photos of SK and Romero, SK and Fantastic Films editor Mike Stein, and a bespectacled solo shot. Text is color commentary and interview with SK about the creation of "Creepshow," his interest in the film genre, Romero arrives at SK's house during interview and joins in, and the struggles of adapting novels into screenplay format. Fantastic Films was a periodical specializing in the movie genres of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. The magazine was published between 1978 and 1985 and was an alternative to Cinefantastique and Starlog. It set itself apart by featuring extensive interviews with actors and behind-the-scenes personnel. In "Creepshow," the master of horror paid homage to the EC-style comic book - or, in essence, graphic novel - with the collection of stories which was subsequently made into the George Romero film.
