Nice signed presentation from Grant on the front endpaper: "To Joseph A. Matter: I want to thank you for all you did for this book- for your thoughtfulness, sympathy, and understanding- and for your contributions. Cordially, Bruce Grant." Matter was chairman of the club's History Project Committee, which oversaw the publication of this book. A very nice association copy! There is a limited edition of this title prepared for club members with a special plate tipped in "signed" by the club president and the author, but the signatures are facsimiles and not real.
