G/No Dustjacket. 1834. Leather. 28 stanzas in ink signed Yours and the Doctor's sincere friend, +c Thomas Collier, Owego, August 21, 1834. In the poem, there is mention of Mary Ann, Sarah, Emily, Ellen, Augustus, Matthias and John. These are brothers and sisters of the Gen John Laining family. Sarah was the first wife of Doctor Ezekiel B. Phelps who came to Owego in 1824 and were married in 1833. She died in 1842. Large 8vo. bound in full red leather with gold tooling around the edges. Thomas Collier was a printer of note in several locations. He came to Owego in 1808. Mrs. conducted a private school for children. - Reference Kingman EARLY OWEGO. pages 101-105.
