Hardcover. Green cloth with black lettering on cover and spine. Some minor edgewear to bottom (from shelf-life). Binding good and tight. Co-authored with Edward Chalif. 1973 on title and copyright. Stated First Edition. 298 pages plus 48 color plates. This remarkable copy is inscribed by Peterson across the title page in red ink, 'For Buck Edwards with very best wishes.' It also has ownership name of Ernest Edwards 1977 on the half title page. Edwards had written and published a field guide to the birds of Mexico just the previous year, and had published a guide to finding birds in Mexico in 1955. Peterson's guide would supplant his as the go-to guide. A wonderful association copy. This one also happens to be from the Lincoln Brower collection, but he has not written his name in this one. Regular shipping by USPS Media Mail is $4. MEDIA MAIL SHIPPING DOES NOT INCLUDE TRACKING.
