Signed and dated "Paul Brown '34" lower right. The Monte Waterbury Cup at the Meadow Brook Club in Westbury, Long Island, was named in honor of 10 goal player James "Monte" Waterbury (1876-1920). He and his brother Lawrence Waterbury, Harry Payne Whitney, and Devereaux Milburn were known as the Big Four when they won the 1909 International Polo Cup. Gerald Balding (1903-1957) was 10 goal polo player from England (Laffaye, p. 27) An excellent, kinetic drawing by Paul lBrown (1893-1958). Signed and dated "Paul Brown '34" lower right.
