This deluxe edition, which is signed on the illustrated limitation page by Don Maitz and introduction author Gene Wolfe contains selected paintings by Don Maitz, one of the science fiction and fantasy field's most respected and sought after artist. Maitz has painted over 150 book covers for writers such as Piers Anthony, C.J. Cherryh, Gene Wolfe, Tanith Lee, and many others - well remaining active with commissions from Eastman Kodak, NBC, and Captain Morgan Rum. This limited edition also includes a laid-in lettered and signed. full-color print (approx 11 tall x 8.5) suitable for framing (book and print number, 44 of 224 match). This is a must have book for collectors of fine art, science fiction and fantasy art and Don Maitz fans. Fine to near new condition, slipcase is very clean, only marks are from bookcase ware.
