Top gilt with deckled fore and bottom edges. Minor rubbing to hinges. Binding solid and true. Pages clean and clear. Endpapers illustrated with beautiful river scene. Includes 6 color plates within and many additional B&W illustrations. Suite of additional loose plates is no longer present. Original green slipcase included. Edges of slipcase show wear and two edges are detached. Indexed. 640 pages. Wonderful volume.
