About the Author

I went to work at ABC-TV in 1948. I began at the transmitter, was a boom pusher, a boom operator, a cameraman, a lighting man, a Technical Director, an Associate Director, a Director and producer. For six decades worked on television shows. I directed kid shows, "Pip the piper," circus shows, "Magic Midway," Doctor shows, "Medical Horizons" and in 1961 I met Allen Funt and soon became the director and then producer director of Candid Camera. This book is the story of my 3 years wit Allen Funt. It was quite a ride! It was The Flying Phone Booth!
