Blue buckram binding. Spine chipped to head and has slight spitting to rear joint. Good solid binding. Browning and heavy foxing to page edges. Patches of foxing throughout the text. Inscribed and signed by the author to front free endpaper, and with a full page ink illustration by the author to front pastedown endpaper: 'Roy Sykes Xmas 1934. Graham Seton Hutchinson, To a young leader of blood stock.' The Illustration is entitled 'The Machine Gund Corps Leader - in Action!', signed and dated 1/1/1935, and with a caption below: 'Pride of race comes very near to the heart of courage'. There is a second inscription to the front free endpaper, also dated Christmas 1934. Illustrated. Overall condition is Good. Size: 6.5 x 9.25 inches (16 x 24 cm). Seller Inventory # 1234E107
