Franklin Library Limited Edition SIGNED BY ISAAC BASHEVIS SINGER. Hardcover: H 22.5cm x L 15.25cm. Full green leather binding with vibrant gilt stamping to spine and boards; spine additionally decorated with three raised bands. A few spots of surface scuffing to leather; small ding to front board's bottom edge; negligible .75cm nick to leather at rear board's bottom fore-edge corner. All edges gilt but with some flaking to top and bottom edges. Green silk moire endpapers; sewn-in green silk page marker. Isaac B. Singer's blue ink signature on second front flyleaf with laid-in tissue guard sheet. Interior pages are bright and clean. Binding remains crisp. Also includes "A special message to subscribers from Isaac Bashevis Singer" and b/w illustrations by Phero Thomas. Features the stories: "Gimpel the Fool," "The Gentleman from Cracow," "The Wife Killer," "By the Light of Memorial Candles," "The Mirror," "The Little Shoemakers," "Joy," "From the Diary of One Not Born," "The Old Man," "Fire," and "The Unseen."
