[Signed, Association Copy] Limited edition of 1,000 copies per back flap. Inscribed on front fly by author Henry Hardy Heins to Mildred B Jensen, Edgar Rice Burrough's secretary of more than 30 years on the day of the book's release: "To Mildred B. Jensen, the most faithful of all. Henry Hardy Heine 9/9/64." Heine wrote "Page 201" below his inscription which marks the page where Ms. Jensen's longtime association with Burroughs is noted. Also laid in is a 1963 letter from Rev. HH Heins offering a detailed update and apology on the book's delayed release to his friends and those who made pre-orders. Revised 1964 edition is so vastly expanded & improved from the first 1962 mimeographed version that Heins refers to that original bibliography in his Preface as "virtually obsolete." Hardcover is very good with light shelf & handling wear incl. front lower corner dent, rubbed edges, small stain on bottom text edge; gilt is bright, burgundy cloth clean, binding solid pages clean & unmarked w/ light page toning. Dust jacket (in Brodart sleeve) is unclipped ($10.00), near fine, slight rubbing & toning. See photos.
