Third printing of the 1972 Revised (ie.2nd edition and Classiic Collection First Edition). Inscribed, signed and dated by the author on the half-title page as follows: (Frst name Lastname/ Sincerely/ Doris Lessing/ 30th June 1986. Book has slight roll-in at the bottom of the spine below the textblock (and less so at the top); boards and topstain are still their original unblemished dark red; all board corners are still sharp; gilt lettering and border on the spine are still 'as new' bright and text pages and endpapers are free of any other inscription or blemish. Mylar-protected, unclipped(£11.95net), unrubbed and unfaded (except some 2-5% on the spine) dustwrapper has a little wrinkling at top of spine; otherwise is very fine. While not an original edition, it is still a rare example of an inscribed-by-the-author revised edition of the Nobel Prize-winning author's seminal and most famous book.
