Synopsis
Golf’s Abundant Elements tells the true story of George T. Preisinger, and how the game of golf helped him develop good character and solid core values. From a young boy whose father, John, introduced him to the game of golf, through the disciplined years of his naval training, college golf and PGA tour competition, George fell in love with playing the game, then made his career as a PGA club professional. But his true love was his wife, Helen, and their four children. George dedicated his life providing for his wife and kids, throughout good times and bad, and they persevered as a family. Each chapter reflects important experiences that shaped his life and inspired George to be a better man.
About the Author
Carol Preisinger grew up in the golf industry under the tutelage of her father, George, a retired Life member of the PGA. A Master professional of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional membership, Carol has earned national recognition as a teacher of golf and mentor to fellow professionals and students of the game. She has been a GOLF Magazine Top 100 Teacher since 2004, was named to Golf Digest's Top 50 Women's teacher list in 2010, and was named #1 Teacher in South Carolina by Golf Digest. Ten years after beginning her teaching career, Carol was named LPGA National Teacher of the Year in 1998, and has since given back her time and efforts to grow the game of golf. She believes the game of golf mirrors life, and that it can teach players so much about themselves and inspire them to live a better life. A former University of Georgia Lady Bulldog golf team member, Carol graduated with a BA in Psychology. Carol is the Director of Golf Instruction at The Kiawah Island Club in Charleston, SC, and is married to Bob Nitkewicz. They have 3 cats, Thelma, Louise and Caesar, and a dog named Mazie.
