About the Author:

Derek Humphry is a journalist and author of 14 books, the most famous one of which is 'Final Exit' -- 18 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list in l991 and still -- in its 3rd edition -- selling consistently. Among other newspapers, Humphry has been on writing staff for the London Daily Mail, London Sunday Times, and the Los Angeles Times. He founded the Hemlock Society in l980, and today is president of ERGO (Euthanasia Research & Guidance Organization) and is editor of the 'World Right-to-Die Newsletter.'
