About the Author

Sandy Supowit was raised in Detroit, Michigan where she earned a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education from Wayne State University. She was an elementary school teacher in Lorain, Ohio for twenty years. She has contributed articles to newspapers and magazines, and her poems have appeared in numerous literary journals. In 1997, her poem "Mushrooms" took second place in the Writer's Digest Competition. She lives in Commerce Township, Michigan and divides her time between freelance writing and volunteer community service work.
