First English Translation of 'Journal D'un Inconnu". Wrapper has shelf wear most noticeable to the top edge with a little chipping and a short tear (about an inch) to the bottom edge near the spine and to the top edge at the back near the spine (about an inch). Wrapper has some discoloration, and is quite heavily foxed. Foxing also throughout the book, most apparent to the end papers, fly leaves first few and last few leaves and to the edges, which are also browned. Please be aware that foxing is an issue with this book. (Suspect this will be a common problem with this printing.) One page has a small ink annotation, and there are occasional small ink markings to the margins. . Bookplate is on the front end paper and is dated 1960.
