Letters are generally folded, with some creasing and a few stains. ; Handwritten letter signed Irving Stone and six typewritten letters, signed Irving or Irving Stone, various sizes and dates, 1938 to 1958, or undated. Handwritten letter is on the letterhead of Hotel Boise, Idaho, dated July 11, 1940, upper corners are torn away. Return addresses include Berkeley, Van Nuys, and Encino, California. One letter is a typed carbon copy, signed in ink, sent from Rome, missing paper from lower portion and wrinkled. All are friendly letters to Leonard and/or Sylvia Lyons, sending personal news, discussing travel, and other topics.
